  : I have to separate the facility itself from the situation I run in. The hotel itself is not bad, you get what you pay for. Nothing special and not a disaster, ok for a short stay.
  : I have booked this hotel for 2 nights on 2 separate bookings on Booking.com . When arrived there they found my booking which I was already charged for by Booking.com, the person at the counter said he cannot check me in because the card Booking.com gave them (their card) did not work. So they cannot check me in for my stay which I already have paid to Booking.com . Long story short - I was not let to get my room there. To say it was extremely disappointing experience is the least. The hotel did not offer any other options despite I showed them my payment confirmation. Did not say - hey, lets give you a room and sort this in the morning, or get another room here, we will refund you when we sort this thing out with Booking. Nothing. This is how much they trust Booking.com .I asked if all I have is to walk away and find another place - clerks confirmed - yes, we cannot check you in. Great!Meantime I tried to reach Booking.com Customer support through their app. Got response - we will get back to you in 24 hrs. I called their Customer support number, robot asks to enter the booking reference number, and nothing further happens, tried many times. So I had to find another place for the stay, and pay quite a bit more. Remember, I paid my room already in the Red Roof Ames hotel.Ok, in the morning I saw that my next nights booking was cancelled by Red Roof Ames hotel. Just like that. Send them a message to explain the reason- nothing.In the evening came to this hotel and asked why they have cancelled my stay for second night as it was separate booking - they said we did not, and they cannot help. That's it. I asked if any free rooms at all there - yes they are. Can I book one - yes. How difficult is that to propose to a customer who still wants to stay?...Some days later Booking.com comes back on my complaint and says - you had to to contact us when you had a problem, not after a day or two we cannot help you anymore.Pathetic customer service, all I can say!

  : The room was large.
  : The overall property is rundown. The parking lot needed basic parking lot maintenance and some more advanced repairs. If you look at the exterior stucco it needs alot of repairs. My room needed repainting. Overall impression is not much is being spent basic upkeep.The mattress in the room felt 'thin' vs other hotel mattresses. Plus the mattress noticeably had a 'bowl' feel - meaning all the edges felt higher and then slooped downward to the middle of the mattress.

  : Locations was fine
  : The room was musty smelling and unclean. The threshold from the bathroom to room was disgustingly dirty. There was hair in the shower and holes in the bathroom wall where hooks were supposed to be. The walls need painted desperately. The TV remote did not work and the treadmill in the fitness room did not work. Because it was so filthy, we did not even eat the breakfast. Hands down one of the filthiest hotels we have stayed in. Not worth the $136 a night. I did ask the front desk for a refund but there was no manager on duty to talk to.

  : For the price, this hotel was surprisingly well-equipped and clean. The breakfast hours were generous, the staff member in charge of the breakfast was kind and accommodating of late eaters. Besides A/C sound, the room was very quiet.
  : My first negative impression was the feel of high humidity on the room. That persisted throughout my two-night stay, even though the room was at a comfortable temperature. There were no USB ports in the room, which was surprising and inconvenient. The person at the desk, while polite and attentive, was difficult to understand because of his accent. Finally, the hotel is a little hard to get to off the highway.

  : The room smelled, didn't seem clean. Neighbor's dog whined and yelped like it was being abused. Coffee maker in room didn't work. If I weren't so tired I would have left.
