  : Beautiful grounds and really cool building.
  : Staff not very friendly. We asked for additional coffee pods for the room and they would only give us 2. The hotel lost power for about 15 minutes. It was really dark! It was indicated that the restaurant would be open by 7 for breakfast. It was not open by 7:30 so we left to go have breakfast in town.And, the shower leaked..couldnt turn off the dripping.

  : A lovely building by a stream. The staff were lovely (after a bad start) and the food was good and well priced.
  : On arrival we were told, fairly bluntly, that the restaurant was full. The town centre is a fair distance away, so we were reluctant to go out driving again. In the end we managed to get some jambon, bread and cheese. But it wasnt done very graciously.

  : The room was very comfortable.
  : The fact that they do not have the opportunity to reserve a table for diner in the hotel for their guests! We came in the evening, and had to leave the hotel to find some other place to eat in the city, which end with no outcome!!!

  : Location was good.
  : We weren't welcomed just given the keys to the room and said it was over there. Informed we could not attend the dining room for a meal as they had a wedding. We had a table booked for dinner and conformation in emails to support this. Reception informed us he doesn't make the rules, and proceeded to tell us there was no booking. They offered no support to an alternative for us.I had to go to reception and ask for a kettle as there wasn't one in the accommodation. Reception said there should be one and had to go to my accommodation to see if there was one in the room which there wasn't. This made me feel very uncomfortable.On check-in he didn't ask for payment he just wanted to get us out of reception and wasn't interested in that we had to leave early for other travel arrangements.It is over priced for what you get.

  : Grounds, enjoyed a glass of wine sitting outside.
  : I booked it because of the good reviews, photos and grounds. It definitely isnt a 4 star property. The pond pump was broken so pond was covered in green slime, only some of the rooms have showers, manor house rooms are old with stained carpet. Bath towels are thin and bare.

  : Staff were not very friendly and didnt care about our arrival we were told our dinner had been cancelled as they had a wedding booked one senior staff offered my wife a free drink to compensate and found it charged on my bill! Breakfast was half finished we complained only to be told there was a wedding the night before and what did we expect. The only 5* was the price they charged.
