Disappointing

  : Historical, good location, nice rooms, good breakfast. Pleasant employees.
  : I told the front desk that the air conditioner didn’t work, but unfortunately it was not fixed. During the night the temperature was 79* which made it hard to sleep. The smoke alarm started going off and on beginning at 1:15 a.m. for 20 minutes with a bright flashing white light. There was a message on the control plate saying the air conditioner was to be serviced in March. When I said something the next morning, they said the people that stayed there the night before said it wasn’t working. In regard to the fire alarm, she made a note to have the battery checked. I emailed the general manager hoping for some sort of apology and a reduction in fee, but did not receive a response.

  : The evening cheese and cracker tray for guests is a very nice touch as is the nightly dessert—which is always delicious. Robin is an exceptionally friendly staff member. Housekeeping did a nice job refreshing the room during our stay.
  : The breakfast at the Inn is very good, but both days it took an exceptionally long time to get our food. The last day it was close to 30-35 minutes. As we were headed home that day, it delayed us from our planned departure time. The front porch of the Inn is a wonderful place to sit and have a glass of wine and talk with other guests, but the rattan furniture is really starting to show wear as are the black and white cushions and outdoor carpet at the seating area. All should be refreshed to make the veranda even more welcoming. Cushions on the rocking chairs at the cottages would be a nice touch as well.

  : The shower head was loose as was the faucet in the shower. They got fixed once i reported it. Very friendly staff

  : The associates were kind, friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was delicious, served to order.
  : In our room the carpet was filthy. Spots all over. There was a construction dumpster in front of the Rhett house which really distracted from the appearance. The courtyard was torn up/renovated, the beautiful floral grounds were nonexistent. The shower did not have water pressure. Shannon, the lady who checked us in was rude. I asked if I could have gotten the wrong room, a king instead of two queens and this made her angry.
