  : The location has always been a favorite. My first stay at that property was in the early 1980's when it was the Touch of Class and had a lounge/dining area that the locals frequented as well as the guests.
  : The facility appears aged and gray. The smell of the dinning area was off-putting and no lounge area. Our first room has multiple spider nests above the bed (no kidding). The desk clerk was "kind" enough to find us another river-view room in a different building. Not sure why that was so difficult given the low occupancy that night and the fact that I called from the room to inform the front desk that we need a different room. Room two was ok (killed the spider on the wall myself on the way in). Upon check out, the manager was summoned and he did give a quick discount and an informative "we are on the river so insects are gonna happen" while failing to help us find accommodations in Portland for that night - we did great on our own at the Hilton Garden Inn. I will stay at this property again after it sells to a better company that knows you only get one chance to make a first impression.

  : The pull out bed was broken. There was a dirty sippy cup under the bed. There was dog hair matted everywhere. Only one garbage can in the bathroom even though our room had a kitchen. There were cigarette butts all over the property.

  : Beautiful area
  : We only spent a few hours at night in the room, because we were there for a music festival. In the morning the toilet was not flushing. When we asked for a plunger they refused and said now would have to get maintenance and the lady was running the front desk and cleaning rooms. Apparently there was no one to help and the one staff was to busy. In a frantic hurry we had to race to Burger King to use the bathroom. Someone finally came with plunger 2 hrs later around 10 am an hour before check out. We were leaving at that point when she was very interested we now take the plunger to fix their toilet. Grrrr. The beautiful hot tub. Leaked/would not fully plug and the fireplace would not work. So very beautiful from the outside but unfortunately it was a horrible stay
