Hotel Spongiola - Brodarica

Located at the beach and close to a pine forest the 4-star Spongiola is the only hotel on the car-free Krapanj Island. It offers spa facilities and free boat transfer. The island can only be reached by boats from the mainland close to Brodarica which is 400 metres away. Cars can be parked at a guarded parking lot on the mainland.

Hotel Spongiola's air-conditioned rooms have free internet access and feature satellite TV and a minibar. The à la carte restaurant serves authentic dishes and you can enjoy your favourite beverage at the bar. The hotel features an indoor swimming pool a fitness studio and a wellness centre as well as an infrared sauna. Free sunshades and chairs are provided.

The Spongiola provides state-of-the-art diving equipment. Besides diving you can try out windsurfing kayaking and water skiing. Excursions to Kornati Krka Paklenica and Plitvice Lakes National Parks can be organised.

: The room is pretty big with nice balcony, small beach with umbrealas and sun beds right in front of the hotel, complimentary ferry service to Brodarica, nice breakfast
: the rooms stinked from the drain which was fixed by adding some parfume to the room which is not what you really expect being on a holiday to get fresh air by a seaside, otherwise excellent

: Location was great for a chilled family holiday, Small beach directly in front of hotel with beach bar:). The island has about 4-5 restaurants all very good, no cars which which really gives you a total feeling of relaxation when your out with family. I like the staff, very friendly and happy to help with anything. If travelling back to this part of Croatia I would stay at the hotel again. We didn't have a car so only visit the local Aqua Park approx. 6km away, KrKa 16km, and Sibenik 8km, we managed easily via taxi. Also if travelling by bus from Split you can request the driver lets you off in Brodarcia which saves from doubling back from Sibenik. Taxi's from mainland Local Taxi - Expensive Hotel Taxi - Good value Uber - cheap but unreliable
: The only thing I could comment on would be the the absence of a shower screen in our bathroom. I would also suggest updating some of the room furniture to more modern standard...apart from that everything else was amazing.
