  : The Hartstone staff were friendly, helpful with our luggage, and accommodating of our like for a game table. The breakfast was outstanding and the location in./near central Camden promotes our walking desires.

  : The best part of our stay was the food in the main restuarant, excellent. The dinner in the main building was the best we had in our 7 day stay in Maine. For dinner we had the duck which is hit or miss in most restuarants but here it was the best duck meal ever. The desserts were also excellent. I had pastacio ice cream, with fig.O erall the staff was very friendly especially the receptionist.
  : The room we stayed in was in a different historic building from the main inn. I didn't realize that when I booked the room. We stayed on the first floor of this historic 1800 building which although renovated was still dated, especially in the back of the 1800 house on the first floor. Our room included a queen sized bed and we were aware of that when booked it. However, I would suggest the owners remove the queensize bed and inserted a king size bed along the outside wall and remove the old clumsy armoire. I also would remove the TV which was blocking the attractive glass mirror over the fireplace. I would hang the TV on the wall where the armoire currently is located. The armoire took space and was not useful. One final note, the booking for the hotel was not clear that there are several buildings to choose from. The building we were provided was about a 5 minute walk away from the main facility across Route 1!!. I didn't mind the walk to the main building but the booking was not clear about the location where we stayed in.

  : The location was great! Easy to get to anywhere in town and great jumping off point to other destinations. Breakfast was fantastic. They offer happy hour but I did not take advantage of it. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. Wish I had booked dinner at the restaurant.
  : Although the room was nice and very comfortable, it would have been nice to know when booking that the building location was across and down the street from their main building where breakfast was served. If you book, ask which building and access to the room as there are no elevators and if you have large luggage it will take an effort to get up the stairs. I had a room on the 2nd floor which was manageable. The 3rd floor I can only imagine.
