  : After driving 8 hours from Pa to Charolette NC - I was looking forward to a relaxing evening and good meal before my second day of travel to Fl. Around 4:pm I checked in & went to room and knew immediately it was not acceptable - it took 15 minutes for elevator to get to room, walked into room & it smelled offensive, the tv did not turn on and the window veiw was a block wall a few feet away! I went back to front desk & told the person the room is not acceptable, the clerk told me there are no other rooms available & won’t be as they are fully booked! I asked for a full refund and was told my charge did not go through yet & no need for a refund, I had to drive another 7 hours that afternoon to Florida. I’m very disappointed that they couldn’t direct me to another property! Afterwards finding the charge for the room was in fact on my credit card! I found this dishonest and inconsiderate and never had a bad experience like this at another Hilton property!
