Disappointing
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
  : Breakfast was good. Location good at around a 6 minute walk to the town centre. Walk was alongside Oyster Pond which is beautiful with fabulous views
  : Overpriced hotel advertised as 5 star with an award winning restaurant. This hotel is not 5 star. It is extremely tired. We did not even have a duvet cover on the bed, just a duvet with a sheet over the top. THERE IS NO RESTAURANT. Their own website talks about their award winning restaurant and chef. There has been no restaurant for some time as they have no staff. There was only one staff member on site who would have to leave the reception if you wanted a drink which she got from a bar in a little room. Certainly not the lavish dinner and cocktail pictures on the website. Forget the lovely firepit pictures in the garden too. At almost $450 a night !!

  : Lovely room. Great breakfast. Good location. Very friendly.
  : Nothing we didn't like. But be warned there is a mandatory gratuity added when you leave for prepaid breakfast.

  : Dated and tired with rather bland decor for such a historic building. It could be outstanding but needs investment.

  : The owner 's attention,the food,the grounds,the location to town, the staff's pleasantness and attitude.
  : The furniture is painted vintage and could be upgraded,at least inside the drawers.I did call ahead to discover if there were options for our deluxe king room but no one called back.
