  : When I booked it said parking was available with the hotel, but actually there wasn’t and had to pay €90 for parking for the length of my stay.No lifts at property so had to take baggage up stairs which was hard.

  : I recently checked out of the Residenza d’Epoca Palazzo Galletti in Florence, Italy. While some know it as beautiful hotel in an old palace adorned with antique furniture, my boyfriend and I know it as the place that gave us bed bugs and never apologized for it, never compensated us, and rushed us out of our room to make space for “the next guests” who would be staying there. We feel that future guests deserve to know about this and we are quite frustrated with how it all turned out. After we showed them the evidence of their bed bug infestation, we expected apologies, an organized protocol to deal with the situation, some sort of compensation for the night we had to spend away, and access to their laundry facilities to wash all of our clothes. Apparently, we should have expected nothing.The owner refused to talk directly with us. We spent around 570 euros dealing with the situation (laundry, medication, disinfectant spray, new hotel, night lost at Palazzo Galleti) and only received a refund of the 42 euro city tax. Also lost an entire day managing everything. We are very upset and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is also concerning they had guests staying in the infested room after they moved us to a new room..
