  : Initially we were given a room that did not have a microwave or refrigerator and was so smelly and moldy there is no way we could have stayed. When we complained, we were given a room with a full kitchen….which was nice, until I noticed a tray in a cupboard covered in mice poop. When I dead bolted the door it stuck and we couldn’t get out. It took us several minutes to get out, scary if there was a fire. This place was expensive, dirty, and a health hazard!!

  : There was no breakfast! Only a place to leave the key. That was not cool. Another guest and I were looking around for any sign of a breakfast but the restaurant was closed as was the office. The dinner that I purchased at the accompanying restaurant was very nice. The motel room was very large but the carpet was stained. It has not been upgraded for many years. The bed was comfortable. I liked the old fashioned electric heater in the bathroom wall.
  : The directions to the place took me up an unnecessary hill and back down to Route 21. There were no tea bags. I forgot to ask at the restaurant. They should have mentioned at dinner time that there was not going to be any breakfast service whatsoever. There was an old fashioned coffee maker in the room.

  : proximity to event
  : The property is in need of a lot of work inside and out. It needs paint, flooring, new bathrooms. The room had a very strong musty smell when you opened the door. The bed actually was comfortable and seemed to have newer bedding and there was a newer sink/vanity. The rest of the room was old furniture. The tub area had rusty drains and mildew growing at the corner of the tub and floor.

  : What breakfast?
  : Room & Inn all need some TLC. Great location along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
