  : The best thing about this place was the location, right on the South Lake Tahoe Beach, with nice amenities and a private beach with loungers. That and the fact that there were TWO bathrooms in our two-story one bedroom unit, one upstairs and one downstairs, one with a walk-in shower and one with a tub! That was a huge plus for us, as my husband has trouble with stairs. We booked at last minute and didn't know we were in Building 5, which is the only one right next to the water. Turns out that is the only building with lake views, so you should book a room with a view if you can. Not all of the rooms have the best views, but you can walk out the door and be on the beach in just minutes from anywhere in it. Because of that I managed to see sunrises and sunsets more than once, which is rare for me while traveling. The blazing fire pits every night were a nice touch. Didn't see people in the pool much, so I surmise it is not heated. Friends of ours were staying in a condo in Lakeland Village next door and it did have a much nicer pool facility if you have kids or grandkids to entertain.
  : The decor seems a little old, some lighter colors would be nice. Although the warm oranges/reds that are there now are probably very cozy during ski season!
