  : Bed was comfortable and the place was safe. Staff was phenomenal. Quiet and Clean area. Staff was ready to answer all questions.
  : No hot water. I'm from NY so I don't know if it was just me not knowing how to operate the shower water temperature or what. But I loved the place.

  : I like the location of pod shoppe because it is in downtown, and it is easier for me to travel.
  : The mattrass is old and dirty and there are lots of bugs and mosquitos.

  : The one aspect of this property that met my expectations was its location, which was ideally situated for my birthday celebrations.
  : My Unpleasant Experience and Observations During My Recent StayStarting off with a bit of humor, like Tiffany Haddish joked, dont stay there, I stayed there and I was f*cked by a ghost. However, my experience was haunted not by spirits but by the poor treatment I received right from the start. When I arrived at your establishment, the staff member who greeted mewithout even introducing himselfwas overtly rude. His demeanor was off-putting, fitting the stereotype of the dismissive and sassy type who seems indifferent to customer care. More critically, his behavior felt racially charged, which suggested to me that as a Black man, I was not welcome.It was my birthday, and yes, I had been drinking, but I was composed and quiet, hardly the disruptive guest. I was merely looking for a peaceful place to rest after deciding against driving back to Riverside in my conditiona choice made in the interest of safety. Despite this, the reception I received was anything but welcoming. The lodging setup, with its cool bunkbeds and queen beds, was the only aspect that met my expectations.The next morning, after trying to catch up on rest from a night out, I encountered the same staff member whose continued rudeness was now compounded by the discomfort of an overly warm building without air conditioning. When I politely inquired about the possibility of using a fanafter noticing him dismissively tending to his nails and not acknowledging my presencehe responded with an eye roll and a reluctant gesture towards a fan in the hallway.This interaction was starkly different from what I observed with another guest, a Japanese man, who received warm, engaging conversation from the same staff member. This difference in treatment only reinforced my perception of racial bias, as it was clear I was being singled out.Standing at 6 feet 7 inches with a presence I carry with pride, I could not help but feel targeted for the color of my skin.

  : very organizeda lot of storage space, even for bulky luggage (but you should bring your own padlock for the lockers)
  : location is sketchy at nightla in general doesn't seem to be worth a visit, in my opinionshower could be cleaner and stairs are a little dusty

  : The location is convenient to public transportation. Also. You could walk to some other places. The accommodations were a bit like sleeping in a treehouse, but I was fit for the adventure of it.
  : The front door doorknob was somewhat difficult for me to turn. There is only street parking for cars in what seems to be a compacted neighborhood area.

  : Delightful and wonderfully helpful "innkeeper" Michael, very comfortable mattress, enforced quiet hours and respectful other pod occupants, and the very user friendly electric outlets and dimmer light switch.
  : I am 80, have mobility issues, and had difficulties getting into bed the first night. I asked for and was provided with step stool to allow easier access to my pod the next day which made rest of stay much easier.
