  : Great food ! Very accommodating when I requested oatmeal. Wait staff very friendly and helpful. On some questions I really didn't have a good way to answer because I had no expectations. It was a nice surprise. The house being so old I knew it wasn't going to be modern. It was quaint and homey, our room was large and quiet in the back. The outdoor area was well lit and nice in the evening. Dinner was good., but service was very slow.
  : The bathroom needs remodeling. The shower in the tub with the circular device to me was very dangerous. I wouldnt' even let my husband use it. They need newer mattresses. Unfortunately they seemed short on all types of staff, but that can't always be helped. We stayed in the Champlain Room.

  : Staff was very considerate to my needs. I was here on business in Middlebury and had to get out early, but breakfast isn't served until 7:30am. I had an 8 am meeting. The night before I spoke to he front desk, they said they'd have breakfast ready at 7:25. And the breakfast was fabulous...
  : The bed that mattress was old 5 years ago. It was worn out and I could feel individual springs with my hands. Room7, replace it. And if you are 6'6" like me, you have to be conscious of low doorways and other head bangers.
