  : Hotel is situated in a run down area with only one nearby restaurant.The facilities in the room were not as advertised and when this was pointed out to the manager he replied the website needs updating. Gave me a 10% discountWOW !No hotel restaurant on a Sunday ( I apparently missed this information on booking ).Stains on the bathroom walls.They block 200 euros on your credit card when you arrive in case there is any damage to the room. This is released when the room has been cleaned and checked. ( and you are obviously miles away and cant challenge anything ) .Hard to understand how it warrants 4* s.

  : I liked the room, it was very spacious and had furniture for your luggage, which is really important for me. It has comfy beds and windows are properly sealed so that night silence is kept at all times. I appreciate details like the quality of bath towels or replacing coffee and chocolate every day. Breakfast is just great. It has a lot of different options, sweet and salty and all of them have an excellent quality. The girls at the breakfast room are all very pleasant and efficient, especially Iman. She is so hard-working and so well-behaved. I will come back to Alsace and I will come back to this hotel again. I had an amazing stay.
  : These are only small details/suggestions that could be taken into account for improvement: -The Spa facilities could be a little warmer, to my view. I didn't use them for this reason. I'm used to really hot spa pools. -A wider space on the washbasin would really come in handy, especially for people who travel with lots of cosmetics. -No plug in the bathroom itself for the hairdryer that visitors bring with them. However, what I really dislike is the fact that upon check-in you are blocked a quantity in your credit card (in my case it was 500 euros), which is released upon check-out. First of all, it is something I have never understood because receptionists say it is in case of emergency, but hotels are supposed to have a proper insurance, so what kind of emergency if they already know our credit card details and they can charge us anything that we break? And second, the money retained is never released on the leaving day and they blame the bank for it but it is not true. so, you are already at home and I had to wait 5 days for the money to be available again.
