  : The property admin did everything to make the stay comfortable, he responded promptly when we needed something. He was following up regularly to make sure we were having a pleasant stay.

  : This stay was the worst experience we've had in over a decade of using booking.com, and it ruined our mood in traveling and our physical health.The room we were given was just a room of about 12 square meters but there are not a one-room apartment, there was no kitchen, not even a common kitchen on the whole floor, not even a coffee machine in the room, which was beyond our knowledge of renting a flat in Europe, and although there were some restaurants nearby, they usually didn't open until 8:00 am, while almost all one day tours started between 8:00 and 8:30 am. There is almost no time for breakfast. The worse thing is the old bathroom equipment, every time you use the bathroom either toilet or sink, or shower drainage will make a terrible noise, if you use it once at night will be difficult to sleep, if it does not drain properly also need to manually drain. On Sunday morning there was no hot shower at all, and we waited until noon to report the problem to the owner for fear of disturbing him, he gave us a new room on the third day, but the drainage noise in the bathroom was even louder. The bathroom exhaust was also very noisy. We asked for a quiet room at the time of booking, but the owner did not inform us when he could not meet this request. The room, besides the noise from the bathroom, was a street-side room with some bars and restaurants outside the window, and there was a lot of noise until midnight. On top of that, the owner did not inform us how to get into the room and get the key before we left, which made us not able to enter the building after arriving at the address with our luggage in tow and not knowing what floor it was on. The owner said he had called but we were still on the plane at the time he called. The elevator in the whole building is chargeable and you have to pay 20 cents each time you go up and down, sometimes the elevator doesn't move even after you put money in it.

  : The Professor (manager/owner/reception?) was quite a personality. He insisted on telling us how the place was so wonderful, and how all the furnishings were the real thing including the drapes. He lectured us on how to learn the true culture. He repeatedly asked us why we booked and why North Americans did not visit. He warned us about putting any paper in the toilet.
  : The location was in a very rough neighborhood. It was dirty, and there were piles of garbage on the street. The entrance from the street is actually to a steel gated parking lot which is garded during the day: Not into the garden imagined by the listing. The "Guest House" is in a multi-story office building. One tennant has a large sign at the stair stating that they are a "Medical Laboratory ". The entrance to the office building is dingy, unpainted and generally creepy. The small elevator cost .20 euro to use. The Professor maintains a candy dish of coins in the entrance hall. When the gate from the street is locked after the gard leaves, it takes four keys to get to your room's door, plus the skeleton key for your door. The two halls compromising the Guest House public areas are furnished with period antiques and two statues depicting racist attitudes of the past. The lights in these halls go on and off with motion activation. We did not see any other people there the first and only night we stayed. The public areas are creepy. Our room, supposedly upgraded was in a general state of poor repair. The shower had lots of mildue and mold stains.The electric toilet is a deal breaker. It sounded like a very large garbage disposer, and was activated with every flush and occasionally, not for any obvious reason. The toilet woke anyone else in the room when flushed. We only knew of one other person in the guest house when we stayed who came in late. We were awakend when they flushed the toilet in their room, and then we heard their loud snoring. When we arrived, we were told that maid service was maybe possible for an additional fee. There is no possible sea view as is pictured in the listing.My wife did not feel safe and secure in this place. We left as soon as we could the first morning. We were frightened.

  : We were looking for an experience to immerse ourselves into the Neapolitan culture.Great location in the heart of Naples. From our window we could see the local neighborhood. We enjoyed some of the best coffee and food from the local coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Ok KimCharming host, Maurizio, with a wealth of local knowledge.We were met by a colleague of the host, who was very welcoming and informative.
  : The website was a little difficult to navigate and it was written in Italian and not easy to translate. The website on the mobile phone was limited and on the computer, you had to translate one page at a time.It would probably help to contact the host prior to arrival to discuss the type of experience you are looking for.Being a traveler from another country, I didn't know I could contact the host via WhatsApp until the day of our arrival.

  : A very interesting experience of living in an authentic Neapolitan atmosphere.Originally decorated room in historical style.Excellent location close to the beautiful promenade and main attractions. Close to the metro.Thanks to the staff for their support and warm friendly welcome and help in getting to know the city and the opportunity to feel inside the real life.
