  : First the good — the location is amazing. It is near several subways lines and very neighborhood feel. Mostly quiet and felt very safe. I found the staff very friendly. I didn’t interact with them too much but they were always helpful. Shower was great and water was HOT.
  : My issue was the room comfort for the price. I was in the basement and the first night it was warm out and the room was very stuffy. No AC, no fan, no air circulation at all. The next night a cold front came through and it switched to very cold — which was a better issue to have. There was a radiator that sounded like murdering cats when I came on and didn’t put out much heat. Another small issue - there was a very lit up Christmas tree right outside the window (at ground level) and you could read at night with the lights off. Blackout shades would make a huge difference. A different room might be a different experience. The room is very sparse, but that doesn’t bother me. Quiet and dark comfort is far more important.

  : My room was small as per the listing, but sufficient size and not cramped. The shared bathroom was clean. There was a washbasin inside the room, really convenient. Location is walking distance from 14th S, so really convenient.

  : Excellent location on a quiet street a short walk from the Subway. Very clean and tidy and all facilities worked. Helpful staff. Also served breakfast which was very convenient. The shared bathroom was OK and was always available when I needed it.I'd stay there again.

  : Beds are old, squeaky, uncomfortable. Plumbing & radiator pipes are extremely noisy.

  : The woman from housekeeping was very nice, and did a great job helping us out when we needed it.
  : The front desk attendant upon check in informed me parking was not free, which the app/details specified. He said “if you show me where it says parking is free I’ll honor it.” I did, and he then responded “sorry, there’s nothing I can do.” Also, proof of vaccination was required to stay in the hotel, also mentioned nowhere. As a result, one of my friends who was supposed to stay in the room was forced to purchase another accommodation somewhere else, incurring the charges for both the room and parking. (We came from Boston and stayed 3 days) I then had to park a couple blocks away and pay an additional $140 for the parking. The hotel was filled with risqué/inappropriate paintings/art throughout, which would have been great to know in advance before a couple preachers came to NYC for a conference. Whoever stayed in the room before us left a bunch of food in the mini fridge, which was really disgusting. Overall very dissatisfied with this stay. And it cost A LOT more money due to the false representation of what was included/required staying there.
