  : Great location and nice rooms. The staff was super friendly, the garden outside was beautiful and the rooms were nice, with comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. I especially loved that they had created a map of the island with all of their recommendations for places to go and things to see, and the suggestions were excellent!

  : Staff are exceptionally friendly! They gave me a thorough welcome tour which was great to know where everything is. The location is right in town so it's an easy walk to anything in Ponta Delgada. There is also a great outdoor patio to relax or eat at the delicious connected restaurant!
  : The bunks are three stories without curtains and are fairly comfortable.

  : Great hostel!!! The vibe is amazing, very social & perfect for solo travellers. Very clean, with cool shared spaces, especially the beautiful garden to enjoy breakfast in the sun and meet cool people! Special credits to the staff, they are all so kind and fun, very welcoming and friendly - especially Luciaan (amazing receptionist!!!) and Romain (amazing tour guide!!!), both super attentive & hospitable. They also organise daily tours around the island, a cool way to explore and socialise! I highly recommend the Ring of Fire tour with Romain. Will for sure come back!

  : Everything was great. However, the electricity would short out quite often. Im talking about every two minutes it would sort out. And during the night this is really inconvenient because the emergency light turns on in the bedroom and it wakes up anybody who has sensitive to light. That is me, so I did not sleep one of the nights. I went to sleep at 10 and I woke up at midnight and at two am because of the whole situation. I ended up staying awake from 2 AM onwards and the next day was difficult and challenging to do my work. And then I had to catch an airplane so my stay was unsatisfactory.
  : The electricity hook up situation and how its wired. It has problems and they need to be resolved pronto.

  : The good items were the following: 1. Excellent breakfast. 2. Rita the tour guide was EXCELLENT and did an AMAZING job showing me parks and various sites around the island. She was very professional and was very kind. Hopefully she will be promoted as she is a very good person to represent the property in a professional manner. 3. The location was excellent and close to everything. 4. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. 5. Outdoor seating area is very nice and there is a pool. 6. Good wifi.
  : There were definitely some areas that need improving as follows 1. The male desk clerk spent an inordinately long time conversing with the young female guest at check in. The conversation drifted and was not professional at times and significantly delayed the check in process which resulted in me having to leave the property and return at a later time to check in. 2. In the shared dorm guests entered the room loudly at 2 am and another group that was obviously drunk came in at 4 am. At 6 am one of the girls became angry and stormed out of the room banging items around and left the door open, again waking and disturbing the room. 3. A male in the shared dorm guest room invited a girl to sleep in his bunk and they seemed to be having an experience while in the bed as moaning could be heard. Summary.while this college frat party vibe may be fun for some, it made it impossible to sleep, and thus why I am giving a very poor score for the hostel. It greatly diminishes other guest experiences on the island and creates an exclusionary vibe for those that are not part of this party element. It makes sleeping impossible and the extra activities that are happening in the rooms are extremely uncomfortable for other guests. Hostels that are tightly run have rules regarding sleep hours that are posted clearly and this should be the case with this hostel as well. This needs to be improved and in writing somewhere.
