  : The staff was friendly and responsive. They seem to try their best with what they have to work with.
  : I booked the most expensive 1 bedroom apartment with balcony option. I paid more thinking it would get me a top floor apartment or the nice/quiet apartment. The property messaged me to say I was being upgraded to a vila with garden. I say, ok, great. The day before my check-in, they call me to say they have a maintenance issue at the vila I was promised, and not only do I not get a vila, I don't get the 1 bedroom apt I reserved. I have to stay in a studio the first night and then move the next day. They offer me an extra night as compensation. I say ok. I end up in a ground floor apartment, facing a very busy restaurant. I didn't use the extra night because the stay was so bad I didn't want to spend one more night in the place. Other than the confusing and disappointing non-upgrade to a downgrade, the property is also in major need of an refurbishment. The beds are the cheapest things you could get and worn out. Just a bunch of springs that sinks right to the slats. There are glass doors that face the street, which has constant traffic during the day, and a busy restaurant that is open until 1:30am some nights right across the street. The curtains on the doors do nothing to block the noise or the street lights. You will hear noise until after midnight every day and the room is bright enough at night to see without turning lights on. Bathroom has the typical Portuguese bad plumbing smell. Which isn't unusual here, but didn't expect it from this property for the price I paid. There were ants in the kitchen. Sheets/pillows/towels are cheap and not comfortable. The door lock was difficult to open, needed maintenance. Garage was not secure. The staff I talked to were as helpful as they could be. It's not their fault, but the place needs some money and work invested in it badly.

  : Location is perfect with 2 beaches within very very close proximity, a lot of food options ranging from cheap to expensive. Easy access to supermarket and to the amazing sunset view

  : Super spacious and comfortable apartment: living room with sofa bed, spare bed, TV and table, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, outdoor table with nearby charcoal grill. Bidet in the bathroom. Apartment quite well equipped but with some maintenance issues (see dislikes). Large fridge and freezer. Microwave oven. Dishwasher (but with issues, see dislikes) and washing machine. Car Garage available in the underground of the building. Very helpful since there is a lack of street parking in the area. However the access is very narrow, so you'll have to get in and out very slowly and take quite some time The manager was super nice and helpful. She even went the extra mile with an issue we reported on wi-fi, having the access point completely replaced even if the issue seemed to be sorted.
  : The kitchen equipment has suffered some injuries over time, probably due to some careless guests. However these have not been tackled by the host despite them requiring a security deposit of 100 euros in cash from the guests upon check in. The fridge handle was missing, replaced by a hook roughly fitted on the top of the door and not easy to reach. One of the freezer drawers was cracked and broken with sharp edges, with a high risk of cutting your hands. Most of the dishwasher rack prongs where totally broken, so it could only hold very few dishes in place. A few spare dishwasher tablets were available, but exposed to humidity and grease in the closet and some had their film broken and soap coming out. It would have been helpful if there were a few properly preserved dishwasher tablets, or some dish soap and washing machine soap available. It wasn't a big issue anyway going to the supermarket and buying them new for a few euro. Of course we used only a minimal quantity of the soap we bought and left the rest in the apartment, hoping that it can be used by the next guests and not thrown away. Bed mattress was a bit thin and it hollowed a bit towards the middle

  : Location was good. The apartment was spacious and had a nice closet for longer stays.The lady who checked us in/out was very nice and always answered messages in a timely manner. Showers water was nice and hot.
  : The bed was very low, so with my knee replacement, it was VERY difficult to get out of bed. Coffee pots were VERY dirty/old/rusty. Sofa couch did not unfold. Shower head was old and clogged, sprayed all over, needs replaced. Location on a busy street so car noise at night. Overall rate 3, not 5 like it shows above!!!
