Hotel Rural San Miguel - Only Adults

  : Lovely, plentiful and varied continental breakfast. A real boutique atmosphere with beautiful antique furniture in all rooms. The thermal spa pool in the cave is an absolute luxury and must be experienced.
  : Only real downpoint is the lack of good quality places to dine in the town. I only found one that I could recommend, the others were basically just bars that serve burgers and such. None of which is the fault of the hotel.

  : - style was super unique, original furniture, windows, stone walls (although our room didn't have them), garden, all beautiful - the hot pool was nice, although only open till 9PM so most of the time we didn't make it (there is also a jacuzzi and sauna on the terrace but we didn't have time for it) - breakfast was really good, fresh and warm buns!, always freshly made eggs on the table (we had 2x scrambled, once boiled and once fried), hams, salamis, cheeses, some muesli, fruit salad (I didnt have that, didnt look too good to be honest, fresh fruit would be better), fresh pies, 2x types of juices, some marmalades, coffee (it was very often empty, so we had to ask, but the lady brought it always in no time), selection of teas, toaster... plus you can have it in the garden so I was very happy about it :) I also appreciate NO small plastic packages (marmalade was in big jars with spoons, butter was a big piece with a knife to it.. really good job) - location - we were in 10 min at the beach and 20 at Teide, it was great! There is plenty of parking areas and also a lot of super delicious restaurants (Bodega is great and just around the corner)
  : A couple of things regarding cleanliness - our glasses in the bathroom had dried toothpaste in them - the drain in the shower didn't have a cover (so just a big hole in the floor that didnt look too clean) that didn't let the water out so after a minute we stood in a pool of water - there was constantly something falling from the ceiling on our bed (i understand it's an old place and the ceiling is original, but this is really not nice if you sleep in the night and it falls on your face) - on such a huge bed I'd appreciate 2 separate blankets that are actually blankets - these were just brown, itchy "duvets" that had a thin sheet over them that in the night while moving anyways went off - which was already a reason for me to have a hard time sleeping (it's about a preference, for me, white blankets that don't lose the bedsheet in the night are a standard)
