  : Agriturismo Marrucola is a beautiful lodging near the town of San Miniato. The facilities are well kept and include a pool with a view of the rolling, Tuscan mountains. It is run with love and professionalism. These especially come out in the staff's treatment of clients and the presentation of food. There is, thankfully a restaurant on premises. We arrived on the later side one evening, and the restaurant was a lifesaver. The Agriturismo is in the "country," on somewhat curvy roads, and therefore removed from dining options. The food and wine were delicious. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, too, including delicious coffee, homemade baked goods, and plenty of cheeses, assorted fruit and other items. The rooms are comfortable, modern and inviting. The owner is said to sing opera occasionally, which we did not hear. However, he did sing a little as he worked and was generally very pleasant.
  : Our room was a "duplex." The bedroom was on a "loft," and the bathroom was downstairs. This matters only to those who must use the restroom during the night.

  : The location is in the countryside just a short drive from San Miniato. The host and his secretary were very friendly. The room was large and tidy, and the bed was located in a loft. The view from the yard was great although not the best we saw in Tuscany. The agriturismo offers a nice restaurant for having dinner.
  : We were unable to try the pool because of the cold weather.

  : Staff was nice, and it was good to have restaurant on site.
  : We could not get the hot water to work, even after asking the staff and letting them know. It would turn hot for a few seconds then right back to cold. We were walking the via Francigena and had walked 10 miles that day in the rain so it was quite a negative for us.
