  : Location. It was close to where I needed to be.
  : No linens or towels provided, which was not mentioned until you booked the cottage. Extremely rustic cottage in disrepair. Broken towel rods, none of the doors closed, broken drawers, smelled musty. Heating/air conditioning was hit or miss.

  : My son and I booked a 3 day stay at Peters Pond to have a fishing vacation. We had several serious issues with the cabin we were placed in (B-17), and left a day early (Monday, 5/20/19) because of this. These issues included:1. There was a swarm of small ants in the kitchen, worse at night. Ants were found in the sink, on the counter, on the dishes and silverware in the cupboard, on the coffee maker, on opened packages of food, etc.2. There was some kind of nocturnal, large animal in the attic...it sounded like about the size of a racoon. It was quite unnerving to be woken up from this in the middle of the night with it walking and scratching on the ceiling. There also was a panel in the upstairs loft, leading to the attic, that was off the wall and which exposed a large gap into the attic, opening a potential way for whatever the animal was to the cabin itself.3. There was an unpleasant odor in the cabin, smelling suspiciously like urine. Was it because there was an animal in the loft was urinating/deficating in the attic?? Don't know, but certainly could be and, if so, is a real health issue.4. Lesser issues: a. several windows were missing screens and could not be open. b. light bulbs in the kitchen/main room area were burnt out (2 of them). c. the bottom lock on the front door, after it was locked, could be opened by firmly jiggling the door handle.we left a day early--monday---because I just didn't want to stay another night in that place. Finally, I know there are other nice cabins in the campground, as we visit friends who come up for a few weeks once a year. I was planning to book our family reunion at the campground(1 week, 18 people) at Peters Pond, but simply cannot do so after this terrible experience.
