  : The bed sheets had a very strong smell of perfume. Most likely the scent of the detergent. My wife was affected by this with bad headaches. A scent free detergent would be more respectful to future guests. The shower has a loud squeaking noise when used. Otherwise is was a good room.

  : This chalet was my dream house. When I saw the photos in my search for a single night stopover in Seward, I knew I had to give myself one night in this house, even despite the cost. The design did not disappoint. A cathedral ceiling with a front packed with windows looking out over the mountains and forests. Beautiful kitchen. Carpets so thick your feet sank into them. Super comfy bed I did not want to get out of in the morning. A walk in steam shower to enjoy until the hot water ran out. And a stackable washer and dryer to use. It was a fantasy dream come true, to a certain extent.
  : The reality of the place. Kitchen felt dirty. Entire house reeked of onions, garlic and exotic spices to the point that it was nauseating. Saturated every piece of furniture and every corner of the house. No effort was made to clear out the smell between guests except to open all the windows... which made the house unbearably cold with the wind coming through. Closing the windows concentrated the stench to the point that it kept waking me up. Staff needs to figure out a solution, such as running an ozone machine between guests, as a courtesy. Staff also needs to provide accurate check in and check out times, as I arrived only to find both were an hour earlier than the times listed in my booking. When I inquired about the discrepancy, as well as directions to the chalet as none were given before I arrived and the property is a bit of a maze, I was given a curt, dismissive response.

  : It was new and had a kitchenette.
  : We were unable to sleep the first night because we were both sliding towards the center of the bed. Turns out we had the only room without a wooden bedframe. The center bar of the metal bed frame was on the floor, causing us to sink in the middle.

  : First, my bottom floor unit received noise from every direction. I could hear footsteps above me and snoring in the room beside me.Second, check out cleaning is expected but not stated in the property description. Additionally, penalties apply if you do not clean accordingly. While I may not be opposed to check out cleaning, I am against surprises.Third, this is a check yourself in accommodation, there seemed to be no one at the hotel to provide local insights or address concerns ( see my first point about the location and noise)Fourth, they text you details but the number they text from does not receive messages, so call or email is the only way. When certain people like myself struggle for cell phone service, all communication avenues should be open

  : The staff was extremely helpful. I left an instrument there, and they called me to let me know. We turned around, drove back and picked it up. SO thoughtful!
  : It's not quite as soundproof as I'd hoped. We could hear people coming up and down the stairs and walking overhead. But overall it was fairly quiet.
