: The facilities were fine after you could access the building.
: .The lack of true accessibility for carrying luggage is a hindrance. Eight steps is too many with no assistance available. The lack of good communication re:breakfast was an annoyance. For a 30 year old facility it was unpleasant.

: We were passing through on our way to OBX and found this little gem of a place. It's off the beaten path but you won't be disappointed with being on the water surrounded by yachts and fishing boats docked in the marina. Many of which have seafarers living on board private vessels. Sunday brunch was exceptional where you can get fresh fixings made to order prepared before your eyes. Our room was above the restaurant and it seemed odd at first to go passed the restaurant hostess but it was also nostalgic in an old West kind of way. This would be a great 3 day getaway with enough amenities to suffice. We will keep the Smithfield Station Hotel in mind for future travels.
: Our only drawback was a noisy bath fan.

: we like the surrounding the waterfront and looking out at the river it was very relaxing.
: We was on he 3rd floor and to climb 3 flights we both are in our mid 60s we selected the rooms which stated traditional we didn't no it met stairs etc. and the pic above wasn't the bed we had a small room with 2 full-size beds.

: Very clean room, breakfast wonderful, staff friendly!
: Exterior windows are pretty dirty, causes one to not get a beautiful view to behold. Secondly, room need a second chair especially when two occupy. Steps to second floor hard and steep on folks with unstable knees in my case.
