  : Food and staff were superb
  : The room was very small (even for a solo traver) and it was noisy - to be fair that was other boisterous travellers but the position of my room was at the top of the stairs and so most noise from fellow guests late at night tended to be picked up in that room

  : It was warm and dry
  : Room small as was bathroom. No where to put anything. Only 2 hooks and one broke when coat was hung on it.Breakfast on 2nd day was swimming in fat. Not able to eat it.On the 2nd night of our stay a live band was playing til gone 11.30pm. It was horrendous. The band were directly below our room, everything shook. It was like being in their speakers. Had we have known when booking then we would not have.Our visit was our sons memorial. We really didnt need that sort of noise on that day.

  : Staff were great, helpful and responsive, cheery and welcoming. Breakfast was superb! Finding it, and parking were easy. WiFi was simple to connect to, no drop-outs. Plentiful hot water for shower.
  : Radiator was cold on arrival, and window wouldn't close. Staff managed to fix the window after a few minutes of trying, but despite saying they turned the rad full on, no heat followed. I went to bed. Heat arrived at some point in the early hours when I woke up feeling like I was being boiled alive. Tried to turn the rad down but it made no difference. Was able to open the window though! Upon showering in the morning, hose had a major leak which meant much less water pressure through the shower head. Other issue was noise. I thought being a Sunday night out would be quite peaceful, however the pub music played till nearly midnight and the other guests seemed rather worse for wear and very noisy with it (appreciate this is not within the pub's/staff control).
