Disappointing

  : The bed and bedding were quite nice and comfortable.
  : The curtains were about 40 years old, the ends hanging off of loops (brown curtains, hello?), the two staff members I spoke with were a bit snotty (ie, "there is no microwave in the room?", "Well, no! Not all hotel rooms have microwaves". I'm thinking, since when? 1975?) . I was awakened in the middle of the night by a rowdy drunk group in the room below me- in fairness, the hotel did respond right away by going to the room and asking them to turn down the music. Taos' streets are currently ripped up and you can't even walk down the sidewalk, half the stores are closed or abandoned. I spent $160 on a room that was worth no more than $100. Hotel Restaurant was closed. Rip off. Would not stay there again.

  : Hotel was wonderful, full of history and beautiful decor. Location was great, right downtown close to everything. Staff were lovely and so accommodating when I wanted to see the D.H.Lawrence paintings!
