  : The location is excellent - very close to all the major sites! The towels were soft and thick, the room was quiet and thankfully there was a towel radiator in the bathroom, which was a life saver as there was torrential rain on the final night, so we got soaked even with umbrellas, raincoats, etc. We used the radiator to dry our clothes which made a world of difference for our return flight home. Unfortunately that is where the positive elements end - I would not recommend anyone staying at this location unless some major changes were made: mainly get a receptionist who is welcoming and friendly and a porter to help people with their bags. Secondly, get new mattresses and make sure appliances work and guests have access to make use of the so called 'kitchenette.'
  : We arrived at the hotel to eventually be serviced (not greeted) by the receptionist. She was keen to take our money for the city tax and technically check us in, but that was it. Her attitude was very much of the impression that we were an inconvenience not welcomed guests. I believe she does not like her job and she made sure we were well aware of that fact. Not once did she say 'hello' not did she offer any helpful local information, such as 'here is a map and these are the main attractions and how you get to them, or when you leave, what transport will you be using - did you know there are porters to the water taxis that you can hire - I could book that for you, if you like..."The facilities were not what was expected. I anticipated there to be a kitchenette in the room and there was not - there was a shared space but no access to water, microwave, stove or oven. There were plates, cutlery, glasses, cups and a kettle, but no ability to prepare food or drinks. There was a small fridge in the room but it did not work and when I said that to the receptionist she immediately said I did not have it on 'max.' When I said it is on max and still is not working and hence the cheese we brought from Florence has gone bad, she said "she had not heard this before," and made no inclination to solve or apologise. The bed was also the most uncomfortable bed I have left in - you could feel every spring. Again when I told the receptionist she stated no one had complained before. I asked for a topper but she said that was not available but I could use the blanket and remake the bed myself if that is what I want.Furthermore, there is no lift, which the receptionist shared, which I was ok about as I was use to that during my travels in Italy thus far - HOWEVER to get to the first floor, it is 3 full flights of stairs and all the rooms are on this floor - there is no porter to help either, so carrying heavy bags was VERY difficult!

  : Good price for a basic room in the heart of Venice .
  : I think that it is just a basic room and no services for example there was a kitchen area where you could make tea but no washing up facilities so you did it in your wash hand basin with no washing up liquid or tea towel so had to use white towel and no cloth in the kitchen area to mop up any spillage . Stairs could be a problem for some 47 in all ! And as others have said its not a Band B which is misleading.
