  : Walking distance to bus and railway station. Owners happy to store our bags for the morning. Younger assistant gave us a map and helpful information about Venice.
  : It was a dissapointing end to our holiday. Entrance is via a darkish lane which smelt of urine ( not their fault).reception area cluttered. Obviously best looking room is featured as their photo. Image of our room showed plain red walls. These had been altered since with black and white paint motifs everywhere which was amateur, ugly and made the room super " busy". In a city which is crowded , I would prefer a room which was calm and restful. A large dilapidated dysfunctional cupboard took up a large space in room. The attempt to disguise it with an antique look, just made it look dirty and tatty. The mattress on bed was dippy and soft and my husband had to sleep on the day bed as he was getting a sore back from the bed...Courtyard view was of a dirty corrugated roof and washing Breakfast was OK. You choose off a list , but they bring everything at once, so your hot food and coffee is cold by the time you've eaten your cereal and drunk the juice. Fruit salad - approx 1 tablespoon of chopped fruit in small bowl . Most options on menu were far too sweet. So I felt choice was limited. We had stayed another night in a different hotel which was same price which had a canal view, generous buffet breakfast in a beautiful breakfast room and courtyard, lovely common lobby area to relax in, tastefully decorated room. . In comparison Ca Riza is poor value for money.

  : It was my 2nd stay here. Its interior architecture is very beautiful, it is furnished in a style that reflects the Venetian atmosphere, and it is very comfortable. The breakfast is one of the reasons why I choose it again. The owner of the hotel was very polite and kind, gave good advice about places to visit. The location of the hotel is very nice, quiet but not in too many secluded corners. The rooms in the hotel are on the 2nd and 3rd floors, the stairs are quite steep and high. I recommend that people with walking difficulties take this into consideration. It is possible to leave luggage. I will choose it again next time!
