  : Lovely location, potentially great views out over the bay, comfortable room, especially the bed, and good offer of soft/firm pillows. Good choice for breakfast which was tasty. Welcoming and friendly staff, good information provided on our arrival and in the folder in the room. Clearly the standards are usually good as can be seen on the numerous certificates displayed in the guest house. Also good that pre arrival contact with us highlighted location of our booked room on 4th floor, an alternative choice offered, which we did not take up as we were happy with original choice. This offer was very considerate!
  : There were some gaps in attention to detail - cobwebs in room 16 (in corner above the door) and in the dining room on wall in alcove where the toaster is sited, long dark hairs on floor in our shower room, damp spots on the white cloth on which the juice glasses were stacked, dry bread crumbs in the basket where fresh bread for toast was kept. Our bedroom window had been left open, so when we arrived, it took quite a while to warm the room. Appreciate that 4th floor windows are more difficult to get cleaned, but views were spoilt as a result.
