  : The hotel remains a hallmark of a glorious past. The entry is beautiful and very much reflects the glamour of the 1920s when it was built. It is old and one should allow for that fact. The bathrooms are very small as are the closets. The beds are comfortable. Much of the old girl's age is a kind of chic. The linens on the beds are superb as are the monogramed pillows. We enjoyed the separate sitting room from the bedrooms which had a tv. The bedroom also had a tv. Air conditioning is provided by two window units. A very nice touch is the Mountaineer bath supplies. Towels are abundant and more were provided for us very promptly. The shower is hot.We felt secure as admittance to the hotel is by entry code after 10pm. There are two place to eat within a few minutes walk of the front entrance: Starters Sports Bar and Grill with very good hamburgers. Fresh made with what tasted like ground round. For breakfast there is a neat diner, Track's End that served delicious eggs and bacon at a very reasonable price. There is also a gift shop, Melissa's Baskets Galore near the hotel. Very nice, and a great place place to pick up something different for yourself or another. Williamson has a long way to go to be travel friendly, but these places are up to par and I would recommend them.

  : Beautiful old hotel, with a great history and stories attached.
  : All public spaces were closed, quiet and empty. There’s not even a desk clerk, so it felt very lonely just sitting in the lobby. The bar was closed. No food to be had. Room was ok, but pretty bare. Not even a comfy chair for $135+!Also, it’s “centrally located” in downtown, but almost everything is closed down now (not the hotel’s fault, but I wouldn’t advertise it as such anymore). In the morning there was literally, not a single place to walk to where I could get coffee or breakfast.
