  : Homewood Suites is one of my preferred brands when I stay in the US. This hotel provided nice rooms in a quiet environment. It ticks most of the boxes but it's starting to look worn and tired- still better than most hotels and the staff were excellent but by no means as good as other HS hotels I've stayed in.
  : There were a few maintenance issues that need to be addressed as well as the general upkeep of the hotel- it's really showing signs of wear and tear. The (only) hotel ice machine broke and was out of action, the pool was out of action for a couple of days due to a pump failure, the outside lights didn't come on until way after dark- individually not major things but they all happened during our stay. Breakfast was served on paper plates with plastic cutlery most days and the flies were a big problem every day- not good for all the uncovered buffet items. Some mornings we had proper silverware and plates but I don't know why it wasn't every day. Every room door, elevator and door frame has been battered into with the luggage trolley/ bags but that doesn't seem to be part of the cleaning regime.The rooms were good but the bathrooms ( we actually had two separate stays at the hotel and had two completely different rooms) have mould/ discoloration around the bath tub which just puts you off straight away. The bathroom doors and behind the doors are just grubby with debris and dirty fingerprints- yuck!If they improved the cleaning regime (oh, and they only service the room every other day!) it would make it an 8/9.
