  : The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The location worked for us.
  : I was charged $18 for parking - $9 a day. However we arrived at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon and departed by 11am the next morning. We were not in a downtown setting where parking was in high demand and other parking options were available. It left a negative taste in my mouth and I don't see Marriot's in my future. The parking charge was not mentioned on the website and we were caught off guard when we were asked if we had a car to park and then told we would be charged. $9 for an overnight stay but being charged for two days was too much, considering we were not even there 24 hours. Very disappointing.

  : The couple in front of me in the check-in line were asked if they had a room preference. I, on the other hand, was not given a choice. The room I was assigned was significantly below standard even though the hotel was less than half full. The walls were bare, there was no artwork. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. The A/C worked and was quiet. Quiet enough so I was woken by a loud conversation in the smoking area right outside. I was twice informed I could have another room, an invitation which I declined. I felt abused and only wished to leave the abuser behind. Never again. I was assured on checkout, at 4 am, that I would not be charged for the missing artwork on the walls and I sincerely hope they got that one right.

  : Staff remained seated behind desk when talking to customers. Parking was not included in the room rate. Wine was grossly overprices. Coffee wasn't complementary, and grossly overpriced. Staff did not know the hours of services.

  : A beautifully refurbished mid range hotel with large comfortable communal lounge area - also limited outdoor seating - great for families
  : I am always puzzled by TV playing in communal areas but without sound or subtitles - why is this?? Its pointless
